We were dealing with a cracked, uneven walkway that was becoming a real problem. The team came in, replaced it with a smooth, sturdy surface, and made sure the grading was just proper. The new walkway looks fantastic and adds so much charm to our home.
They did a fantastic job installing stamped concrete on our porch. The work was clean, the team was respectful, and the pattern turned out exactly how we hoped. It’s a solid upgrade to the front of our house.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a concrete driveway cost in New Orleans?
HomeGuide's national figures for 2026 are $6 to $15 per square foot, or $2,400 to $8,600 for a two-car driveway. Those are not our quotes. Size, soil, tear-out, access and finish set your price, and we give it in writing after a free visit.
Why do driveways and sidewalks sink in New Orleans?
The city stands on soft river clay and old marsh soil that keeps settling, and much of it is below sea level. Slabs go down with the ground. A compacted base, steel and good drainage slow it, and a sound slab can often be lifted.
Do I need a permit for a driveway in New Orleans?
Paving on your own lot is listed by the city as exempt from a building permit when it meets the zoning ordinance. A new driveway or curb cut at the street needs a Department of Public Works permit, and historic districts have their own review.
How much of my front yard can I pave?
Under the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, paving more than 40 percent of a front yard is not allowed in most New Orleans neighborhoods. We measure before we design the driveway.
How long before I can use new concrete?
Walk on it after 1 to 2 days and drive a car on it after about 7 days. Keep heavy trucks and trailers off for 28 days.
Who contacts Louisiana 811 before digging?
Whoever does the digging. On our jobs we make the request. Louisiana requires two full business days of notice, and the marking service is free.
Do you remove the old concrete?
Yes. Tear-out and haul-away are part of our quote when a replacement is needed.
Can cracked concrete be repaired?
Small cracks and surface damage can often be repaired or resurfaced. Slabs that have sunk or broken up usually need to be replaced. We tell you which applies.
Do I need a permit for concrete work in New Orleans?
Driveway approaches, sidewalks and structural slabs often need a permit. We check the rules for your address.
